Former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has cautioned young girls against dating men who are constantly on social media.Speaking on Monday in Mombasa, Omar urged young girls to plan their lives, work towards having a brighter future and avoid men who could affect their progress in life.Omar said young women should avoid social media activists and bloggers as they are paid little money to spread propaganda.“Girls don’t date these men who are constantly on social media. They are paid two thousand shillings to pay small little rents. You must think big… that is a man who will take you down,” said Omar, as quoted by Ureport.Omar made the remarks when he addressed journalists concerning his resignation as Wiper Party secretary general.Omar criticised Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka accusing him of poor leadership and practicing double standards.“I know for a fact what happened here, and I know for a fact I do not desire anymore for the Wiper leadership. Wiper leadership is weak, its meek, and unfocused; you don't know whether Kalonzo is supporting me or Joho. You don't know what he stands for,” said Omar.
