Former Wiper Secretary-General Hassan Omar has asked NASA leaders to style up and stop perpetuating petty and malicious politics allegedly aimed at destroying the county’s unity.Omar accused NASA leader Raila Odinga and his political brigade of engaging in petty politics that has no value for the country.Speaking to journalists in Mombasa Town on Monday, the former Senator said the country is fed up with Raila’s politics and that the former Prime Minister should retire peacefully.He said that Raila has ‘succeeded in manipulating his supporters and is trying to make the country ungovernable’.Omar wondered why the ODM leader is dragging the country into unending politics yet the electioneering period ended with the election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.He said Raila is embarrassed about continuously losing presidential elections and is looking for sympathy.“NASA leaders should be ashamed of themselves for creating anxiety and dragging the county into unending politics,” he said.Omar poked holes into NASA’s push for electoral reforms, arguing that it is not genuine.The Jubilee politician claimed that NASA is pushing for reforms to benefit its top leaders. “We all know what they are after and they should stop misleading their supporters with lies,” he said.He further rubbished Raila’s planned swearing-in, saying the NASA principal has no constitutional power to take an oath of office.Omar asked the government to take action against Raila if goes on to swear himself in as president.He asked Kenyans not to be dragged into NASA’s politics which he termed as tribal and full of propaganda, adding that it is dangerous for the country’s unity.NASA plans to swear in Raila as the people’s president on January 30.Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Mombasa County that you want Hivisasa to cover?
