The Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ) has dismissed claims that the life of the Commission's chairman Otiende Amollo was in danger.
This follows reports circulating in social media, showing a letter purportedly written by Amollo, claiming his life is in danger due to his role in the fight against graft.
Ombudsman's (as the Commission is known) secretary Leonard Ngaluma termed the letter as false, adding that it did not originate from CAJ and was not written by Amollo.
In a letter dated November 14, 2016 addressed to the Director of Criminal Investigations Ndegwa Muhoro, Ngaluma said the letter was misleading and would cause unnecessary panic.
He urged Muhoro to assist in investigating the original author of the letter, and assured that the Ombudsman chair was safe.
"I kindly request your office to investigate the matter to establish the impersonator and the possible motive for generating the letter," he said.
