A group of politicians and leaders from Kisii County who came with an agenda of uniting the Community has said that their declaration is about unity but not as others are propagating matters.

Led by the Kisii county Deputy Governor Joash Ongwae who is the secretary of the group said that the aim of the group is to unite the community and not anything else as opposed to what people have been saying.

Speaking on Friday at Otamba Girls secondary school, Maangi said that according to the resolutions of the group they have no hidden agenda but only uniting the community.

“We have no any other agenda but uniting the community so that we can talk with one voice, also we need to come together so that we can engage the national government during the allocations, we will also sensitise the community about the coming together," said Maangi during the reading of the group resolutions

Senator Chris Obure who is the chairman of the group echoed Maangi's sentiments by urging the residents to pull together for the better of the community.

“We are here regardless of our parties since we need to move ahead by coming together,” he said.

Joel Onyancha, Member of parliament from Bomachoge challenged those who are propagating negative sentiments about the group to stop and know that the purpose of the group is to unite the community.

Among those who were present included MPs Richard Tong’i Nyaribari Chache, Richard Onyoka Kitutu Chache South, Zebedeo Opore Bonchari among others.
