Residents of Kerina in Kisii South sub-county headquarters have said they have told off Omogusii unity members following their move that aims to unseat governor James Ongwae.
The residents now claim that the Omogusii unity members are only targeting Ongwae who has not joined the group.
"It is very unfortunate that the Omogusii unity members are targeting Ongwae who they claim has not done enough in Kisii county. The unity members should know that it is voters who will decide who to vote for. The purported unity is doomed and a failed group in Kisii politics," said Caleb Simba.
Samuel Okemwa noted that the members have failed to woo Omogusii community with goodies from Jubilee.
"The intention of the unity members to taint Governor Ongwae's name in Kisii politics has been realised by Kisii county locals who will not support the selfish agenda of the unity group," said Alex Monari.
