"We are all elected leaders in the unity movement. Our community is big than an individual. The aim of the unity group is to have a common political goal in the region that will see the community prosper," he said.

"Leaders making up the Omogusii unity do not represent individual interest as claimed by local leaders. The activities carried out with the unity members is aimed at improving the Gusii region and not misleading her as claimed," he added.

He urged locals to support the unity group ahead of the 2017 elections.

"Full support from the community will get us somewhere. Opposing good ideas in society can not take the community anywhere. As leaders, we urge locals to support the unity movement for the prosperity of our Gusii region," he said.
