Locals of Bogiakumu ward in Bonchari sub-county have said that Omogusii unity members are bringing curses to Kisii land.
The locals have vowed to oppose the said unity talks if brought to the region.
This comes after the area is mourning the death of Irene Kerubo who was shot dead at Daraja Mbili market on Thursday.
The locals who spoke to the media said that since a section of leaders joined the unity movement, things have not been going well in the region.
"We are yet to be convinced that William Ruto security guards were not the ones who killed our fellow while in the market! The unity movement thing should be condemned at all cost. They have been inviting Jubilee leaders to the region something that has brought us funerals after police officers used live bullets and killed innocent traders," said Nyamwamu.
Ronald Onsombi noted that if Deputy President William Ruto was not invited to the county, Irene would not have met her death.
"Kisii county leaders are working closely with Jubilee despite the fact that the region is in Cord. Kisii county second in command Joash Maangi has betrayed the county. He is defending DP Ruto's guards that they did not kill innocent traders yet it is well known that the officers were deployed to guard DP," said Onsombi.
Richard Tungu argued that Maangi with the other Omogusii unity members are bringing curses to Kisii land by forcing the region to join Jubilee due to the frequent visit of Jubilee leaders to the county.
