Nyaribari Chache lawmaker has insisted that the Omogusii unity movement will not stop amidst opposition from a section of leaders from the Gusii region.
Tong'i argued that the idea of Gusii unity talks is aimed at transforming the entire Kisii political landscape for sustainable development.
On Sunday, Tong'i said the move by the leaders is to unite the Gusii residents and no one can stop that at all costs.
"The unity movement will not stop soon just because of some few individuals opposing it. This is the right way to go especially as the elections draw nigh. I urge those opposing the unity to give us ample time and will see how the unity will progress with our positive objectives," he said.
He added that the unity has represented the region well, thereby refuting claims that there is discrimination.
"The Omogusii unity is made of not only politicians but also other members of the society such as church leaders. The doors are open for anyone willing to join the unity to transform Gusii region," he added.
