According to the youth led by Ekerenyo Ward Thadeus Nyabaro, in a press conference on Friday, Omtatah’s move is politically motivated and they will ensure that the revert it through legal means or protesting.

“We were happy that Uhuru appointed Ogeto a aman who has been so helpful to the community and we are just disappointed with Omtatah’s move," said Nyabaro

Omtatah sued President Uhuru Kenyatta in his personal capacity for nominating the advocate without public participation.

He also sought an order stopping Speaker Justin Muturi from accepting Ogeto’s name for purposes of vetting.

Omtatah insists that the Head of State is bound by the Constitution and other laws with no capacity to act beyond or outside of them.

“The President must uphold the provision and the spirit of constitution and statute,” he argues.

Last week President Kenyatta appointed Ogeto to replace Njee Muturi who was given a new appointment as Deputy Chief of staff.
