Former Busia senatorial candidate Okiya Omtatah has filed a court case, challenging President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Cabinet appointments.
Omtatah, a renown Judiciary activist, accuses President Kenyatta of violating the law when he appointed principal secretaries and chief administrative secretaries.
He has also sued the attorney general, the National Assembly speaker and the Public Service Commission (PSC).
According to Mr Omtatah, the president created the position of chief administrative secretary without public participation, which he says violates the law.
The activist says the country is already struggling with a huge wage bill, and that the new positions will make the country suffer even further.
