A political analyst said the Omugusii Unity movement will only work when the proponents are changed.
Milkah Obonyo said the movement will only succeed if its current leaders step down, citing that it is clear that the movement is a well-organised to safeguard the interests of those in power.
She added that the community has already lost faith and trust in the unity movement saying the biggest blow being the elders distancing themselves.
She advises that the best way is giving neutral individuals the leadership positions and a complete restructuring.
“The Omugusii movement is a good move. The only problem is those holding the top seats are ones controlling the party. The people at the grassroots do not have faith in the move and it would be wise to restructure it afresh,” she said.
The Omugusii unity has been facing a rift in the region with others saying it is meant to safeguard the interests of some few individuals.
