A farm worker of has been arrested following the murder of Evangelist Pius Muiru's mother.
Grace Wangari Mwangi was found murdered at her home in Karega, Kigumo constituency, Wednesday.
The late Wangari was reported missing during the weekend.
Her neigbours who were searching for her since her disappearance found her body buried in a shallow grave at her farm.
“We found a freshly dug area after combing through the farm,” said one of her neighbours as reported by a local newspaper.
She was in her late 70's when death met her.
The worker is assisting police with investigations into the killings.
Muiru of the Maximum Miracle Centre, once contested for the presidential seat in 2007 but lost to former president Mwai Kibaki.
