One man has lost his life and two others seriously injured after a storey building they were constructing collapsed and buried them on Thursday evening in Katulye area, Matungulu sub-county, Machakos county.

According to Matungulu location chief Wellington Ndawa, the accident could have happened due to the heavy rains that have been experienced in the area. 

The men were trapped in the rubble where residents rushed to rescue them where one was confirmed dead. 

Those who were injured were rushed to Kangundo hospital for treatment. The body of the man was taken to Kangundo level four hospital mortuary.
