A man has died in Sameta after falling from a quarry in which he was grazing his cow

John Onsase a 20-years-old man is said to have left his house at around 3:00 pm last evening after coming home from his job in Ogembo town where he took his cow out to graze.

after a few hours of waiting for him, his family  got impatient and started to searching for him.

On tracing his cow along the quarry it was then when one of the villagers looked down the quarry and discovered his dead body.

The villagers then took the body from the scene and took it to the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary. 

The area assistant chief Amos Motego said that the quarry is a threat to the safety of his villagers especially children, where he urged the residents to take care of their children to avoid more problems.

Onsase's family is urging the county government to do something about the quarry to prevent more occasions of death.
