A motorbike rider died while his passenger was seriously injured when their motorcycle collided with a speeding car on the Gilgil-Nyahururu road on Sunday.
A witness, Paul Waiganjo, said the motorbike was heading to Ol Kalou when the rider lost control and hit an oncoming vehicle.
“The car was speeding when the accident occurred. The rider lost control when he tried to escape a speed pump and hit the car. The rider died on the spot,” said Waiganjo.
He said police officers moved the rider’s body to JM Memorial Hospital mortuary in Ol Kalou town.
