One person was burnt beyond recognition and over 50 others left homeless and forced to spend the night in cold after their houses caught fire Tuesday evening in Athiriver.
The fire was at Sofia area in Athi River central ward, Mavoko county just days after hundreds were left homeless after fire razed down all their belongings in Slaughter slums just less than a kilometer away from Sofia.
The traumatised victims speaking to the writer asked the Kenya Redcross and the government to quickly assist them as they lost all their property. It is not clear the cause of Tuesday evening inferno but police are investigating to determine the possible cause.
