A bodaboda operator was confirmed dead after he was knocked down by bus along Masii-Muthetheni on Wednesday, July 6, afternoon.
According to an eye witness, the bus which plies through Machakos-Muthetheni through Masii route was overspeeding on a bumpy road before it knocked down the bodaboda operator who was alone on board.
He said that the dilapidated road might have been the main cause of the accident.
"I was walking along the road before I witnessed the accident. I saw the bodaboda operator rolling down the road," said eye witness.
He said that the county government of Machakos is to blame for the accident as it has failed to repair the roads.
The body was taken to Mwala level four hospital mortuary for postmortem as investigations kick off on what caused the unfortunate accident.
