One person died following a road accident on Chesoi-Chesongoch road in Marakwet East.
Two others were injured during the Monday accident that involved a Toyota Probox.
Area police boss Lemmy Njiru said the two were rushed to Chesongoch Mission Hospital.
Njiru said the body of the deceased was taken to Iten County Referral Hospital Mortuary.
The police boss said the vehicle which was ferrying traders to Murkutwo Market hit a wall on the roadside before rolling several times on the hilly road.
“We suspect the breaks of the vehicle failed causing the driver to lose control,” he said.
He urged drivers plying the road to be careful since it is hilly, with sharp corners.
“Police have launched investigations to establish the exact cause of the accident,” he said.
