One person is reported to have died and two others injured after being involved in a road accident at Mwangala, in the outskirts of Kwale town on Friday.The accident occurred after a saloon car rammed into a lorry.An eyewitness said the deceased, who was later identified as Hamis Jita, was traveling in a saloon car, which was being driven by former Tsimba Golini ward MCA aspirant Said Mwamrima.Jita is said to have succumbed to his injuries while being taken to hospital for treatment.The lorry driver, who escaped unhurt, said the saloon car lost control and rammed into the lorry after he stopped to pave way for the vehicle, Baraka FM has reported. The saloon car was traveling from Kwale to Ukunda while the lorry was transporting bricks from Likoni to Kwale when the incident occurred.The other two occupants of the lorry also escaped unhurt. According to the daily, efforts to get a comment from police at the scene proved futile.This is the fourth accident to have occurred in the county in a span of one week.
