President Uhuru Kenyatta, Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and Cord leader Raila Amolo Odinga were diasporans in their own right.

The three leaders have spent part of their lives in foreign countries.  Uhuru resided abroad when he went to Amherst College in the United States of America before coming back to the country.

Former prime minister Raila Amolo Odinga, who is contesting for the presidency for his fourth time, also attended international institution of learning during his teenage years.

Raila, also NASA presidential torchbearer, went to Germany for his education hence he is also termed as child of diaspora. Kalonzo also spent a good part of his life in a foreign nation.

The former vice president lived in Cyprus where he attended higher education and obtained qualification in business studies. The three leaders have continued to influence the politics of this nation since they entered the political arena.

The trio has been known to form political parties that have changed the lives of  Kenyans in different ways.  Raila and Kalonzo came together under Coalition for Reforms and Democracy ( Cord) to ascend to power but they lost to President Uhuru Kenyatta during the last general elections.
