One person was on Saturday killed after being shot by a stray bullet in Kinangop, Nyandarua during a political protest.
The deceased was in the company of others protesters after the issuance of Jubilee nomination certificate to incumbent Woman Representative, Wanjiku Muhia.
The protesters, supporters of Nyandarua Woman Representative aspirant, Faith Gitau, took to the streets and barricaded roads at Magumu Fly Over.
They demanded nullification of the Jubilee nomination certificate issued to Ms Muhia.
Police were forced to shoot in the air to disperse the rowdy crowd leading to the injury of two protesters.
The injured were rushed to Kijabe Mission Hospital in Kikuyu but one died while receiving treatment.
