A 27-year-old man has been killed at Ikorongo, Kisii-Trans Mara border as 8 others nurse arrow injuries.
The incident happened on Sunday during tribal clashes between the two Kisiis and the Kalenjins communities.
Confirming the incident on Sunday Ikorongo Senior Chief Francis Gekonge noted that the deceased Justine Kamanda was arrowed in his chest and lost his life on arrival at Gucha Hospital.
The other casualties who were in a critical condition were taken to Kisii level six for further treatment.
The clashes started when Riamichoki village residents was tracing stolen cows.
The three stolen cows belonged to a resident of Kisii community.
The clashes have been experienced in the last five months as a result of cattle rustling and boundary dispute.
“One of Kisii community residents has lost his life after he was arrowed during the clashes between the two communities and we ask the government to intervene and cool the clashes before many lose their lives,” said chief Gekonge.
