One person was killed Sunday morning after two lorries collided along the Naivasha-Mai Mahiu road.

The accident led to a traffic jam along the busy road.

Witnesses said the two.lorries were speeding leading to the accident.

Naivasha sub-county commissioner Isaac Masinde said drivers flouting traffic rules will be punished.

"Traffic along the two major roads is very heavy at the moment and we are asking motorists to be extra cautious and avoid careless overtaking," he said.

Those injured were rushed to Naivasha sub-county hospital.
