The Leader of Majority in the National Assembly Aden Duale has hit out at the government over the ongoing fight against contraband goods.
Duale said the war is skewed and meant to ‘punish some quarters’.
Speaking on Tuesday, Duale claimed he has information of sugar that is hidden in Nakuru Blankets warehouses yet the government is only focusing on ‘small fish’.
“1m bags of suspicious sugar are being hidden in Nakuru Blankets warehouse, the government is only profiling small fish,” Duale said.
On Tuesday, security agencies raided Kanini Wholesalers where 1350 bags of sugar suspected to be contraband were nabbed.
Nakuru police commander Hassan Barua said investigations have been launched to verify the status of the sugar.
