According to the area police boss, Erastus Muthee Njoroge is suspected to be a member of the drug dealers since he was captured in Kiganjo under the influence of the bhang and in procession of one stone of bhang that is worth approximately Sh750 street value.

Thika Sub-County Administration Police Superintendent Samuel Ombonya said that his officers are still in Kiganjo together with other police officers in civilian, to flash out all the depot in the area and to capture any drug dealer to clear bhang in Thika Sub-county.

Ombonya said that his officers found Muthee in an unfinished building in Kiganjo after getting informating from the other gang that was arrested on Tuesday.

“His younger brother was not willing to reveal the dens of weed but after severe interrogation he finally told the police the whereabouts of the dens and my officers managed to apprehend one more culprit,” said Ombonya.

However, Muthee declined the allegations of being a peddler and said he only smokes but he is not involved in the dubious cartel.

He added that his brother was innocent and was forced into the business due to unemployment and thus pleaded leniency on his behalf, which was thwarted by the officers.

Following the incident, Thika West OCPD Shadrack Maithya confirmed the incident as well and promised not to withdraw his officers in partnership with AP in the area.

Muthee is in Thika police custody as further investigations are underway.
