The man who was confirmed dead was with a colleague in the boat when it capsized.

He had gone into the waters without the right apparatus required to peddle the boat, hence ended up using a rod instead.

Surprisingly his partner disappeared into the bush soon after being rescued and his whereabouts are yet to be known.

Leading the rescue operation was Ekalakala Ward MCA Stephen Mwanthi who retrieved the body of the deceased as well as to remove the boat from the waters.
