A middle-aged man was Thursday morning escaped death narrowly when the motorcycle he was riding was involved in a road accident along Njoro-Nakuru.
The matatu veered too the road after hitting the rider but luckily no one in the injured in the vehicle.
According to eye witness Samuel Mwongera, the motorbike and the matatu were trying to overtake at track but accidentally the rider was hit in the process.
"The rider was hit when he was trying to overtake a truck and I think the speed of the matatu exceeded that of the motorcycle hence he was hit from behind"said Mwongera, a witness.
The young man was rushed to Nakuru county hospital by good Samaritans while in critical condition. Both the matatu and the motorcycle were towed to Nakuru police station.
