One person has died following confrontations between the police and residents in Ahero, Kisumu.The residents were protesting against the arrest of politician Miguna Miguna, reports Citizen TV.The self-proclaimed NRM General was arrested by the police in a dawn raid at his home last week. The arrest is part of the ongoing crackdown by the government on the NASA politicians who are believed to have played a major role in Raila Odinga’s swearing-in as the people's president last week.Dr Miguna has been in the police cells since Friday, despite the High Court issuing an order demanding his release.Miguna was arraigned in court (today) Tuesday and was presented in Kajiado Law Court and charged with treason. However, he refused to take plea demanding to be taken to Justice Luka Kimaru in Nairobi.The arrest of Dr Miguna has further damaged the already frosty relationship between NASA and Jubilee.
