Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has been hitting local dailies after making disparaging remarks, which were seen to target President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Babu needs to emulate Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, who has risen through ranks with minimal controversy.
He needs to understand that ‘sobriety’ is important in life especially when it comes to politics. The lawmaker has insisted that he will not apologise over the remarks saying did not refer to President Uhuru.
“We have so many presidents in Kenya, from the President of Sonu to all presidents of students union in Kenya, President of the Supreme Court, President of Youth Senate and much more. However I will stick to objective politics and will never abuse anybody,” he said in a Facebook post, as quoted by Standard.
The political star of Babu has shone brightly. He only needs mentorship from leaders like Kalonzo.
It is interesting to note that at one point, he said he does not believe in God. The lawmaker needs to know that there is a supernatural power behind his existence. Although being religious is personal, the electorate is watching him as he makes all these remarks.
