Barely a week after the National Super Alliance (NASA) declared Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka their presidential team to face Uhuru Kenyatta in the August polls, a political pundit has stated one factor that may give Odinga-Kalonzo ticket tenancy at the State House.
The pundit, Bernard Amaya, says that for Odinga to capture the seat, he must reach out to Mt Kenya and Rift Valley voters, because the Gikuyu, Embu and Meru Association (GEMA) must be assured that a Raila presidency will be good for their enterprises, so are the Rift Valley farmers.
"A lot needs to be done to GEMA fears are a major obstacle. Will Raila calm the nerves of the Mount Kenya voters? Is he going to squander the golden chance? I addition, Odinga must tame his political supporters who usually scare away voters. The ball is in his court," he said.

It is also same ball game for Jubilee if they are to win in NASA strongholds.
"The same applies to Jubilee. If they must win a second term, it will depend on their ability to raid the NASA backyard. Kenyans should not be zoned into tribal blocs but be free to all contestants," he said.
