Nominated Senator Janet Ong’era has yet again dismissed claims that she was working closely with Deputy President William Ruto despite her close ties with Orange party.
On Monday, a group of Facebook users (Kisii County group) labeled Ong’era a mole and demanded that she be banished from the party.
And in a quick rejoinder, Ong’era dismissed the speculations as ‘mere propaganda’ and accused her opponents of allegedly peddling ‘rumors’ for political gain.
“I think my agenda and political affiliation is in public domain. I have worked with ODM for a long time and I have never had any intention to move anywhere. It’s my party and I am proud to be associated with it,” she said.
“Those peddling the mere propaganda that I am working for Ruto is a lie and should be dismissed by all ODM loving supporters. I have never worked with Ruto and the last time we had serious political engagement was when he was in ODM. Let’s be factual when addressing issues,” Ong’era added.
Ong’era also urged ODM leaders from the county to desist from infightings and instead concentrate on how to ensure their party leader Raila Odinga wins 2017 presidential elections.
