Nominated Senator Janet Ong’era has dismissed sensational claims that she is secretly working with DP William Ruto despite being a staunch supporter of ODM in public.
This comes after a section of Kisii County residents took on social media accusing her of working with Jubilee coalition to penetrate the larger Gusii region with an aim of getting an appointment to government should Jubilee win presidential elections.
But on Wednesday in her official Facebook page, Ong’era termed the allegations ‘reckless and primitive’ and accused her opponents of tainting her name for political mirage.
“It’s ridiculous for someone to say that I am working with Jubilee government or even William Ruto. I am loyal to my ODM party and party leader Raila Odinga and those tarnishing my names are looking for political mirage,” she said.
“The allegations are reckless and primitive since no single time I am ever met with the DP on a personal basis because I don’t subscribe to his political school of thought,” added the former ODM Chief Executive.
She urged her supporters to dismiss the rumours and vowed to continue dissemination the agenda of the opposition Cord saying the coalition will win 2017 general elections.
“It’s my humble wish that my supporters dismiss such rumour because I am in ODM to stay. I will continue working closely with my party with an aim of getting a landslide victory in 2017 polls,” she said.
