ODM nominated senator Janet Ong’era says she will support Sam Ongeri for the senatorial position.
Ong'era's statement has now cleared confusion among ODM supporters with indication that she will go for Women Representative seat.
“I was intending to go for senatorial seat but I had to drop it. I will fully back Ongeri in his bid to clinch the seat," she said.
“Ongeri is an inspiration to many politicians and I think he deserves that seat. As ODM, we shall back him fully and hopefully he will deliver,"she added.
Ongeri, a former ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta, made a shocking move on Monday after joining the ODM party.
Even though Ong'era has not come out on public to launched her bid for Women Representative, it is understood that she will be wrestling with incumbent Mary Otara.
