Nominated Senator Janet Ong'era insists that she is the best option to repace incument Kisii County Women Representative Mary Otara in 2017 polls.
The former Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Chief Executive accused Otara of allegedly discriminating other parts of the county during her tenure.
"Since 2013, women and youths have not benefited fully from the Women Representative post. If elected in 2017, I will ensure eqity in resource distribution among our women and youths," she said.
"I will introduce a marry-go-round to all women and youths in the county to enable them venture into businesses for better their lives," Ong'era added.
She also urged parents to desist from subjecting girls to Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and challenged local authorities to take actions against the culprits.
Ong'era was speaking at Monyerero Ward during the empowering of women groups on Wednesday.
