Janet Ong’era has challenged DP William Ruto to ‘guard’ his tongue whenever he stands in podium adding that his antics would send him to political oblivion.
Since falling out with Raila Odinga, Rto has been a chief critic of the opposition leader and never wastes an opportunity whenever he has a chance on podium to attack Odinga.
But nominated senator Janet Ong’era says the DP needs Odinga more in future should he want longevity in political arena.
“It is bad manners to go to every political function and carelessly attack someone like Raila Odinga. This habit will cost Ruto any realistic chances in 2022.
“In my view, I don’t seeing him becoming president without Odinga’s support and someone will tell me that in future. That is my take and he needs to monitor his utterances,” she said.
An oral agreement between the DP and president Uhuru Kenyatta suggests that Ruto will be supported unconditionally by Kenyatta and his supporters in 2022.
Already, the DP is facing fierce resistance from a section of Mt. Kenya leaders led by Kiambu governor William Kabogo.
