Immediate former Kenyan ambassador to UN Habitat Sam Ongeri has accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of allegedly launching petty projects in Gusii region.
Uhuru completed his two days tour in Gusii launching a host of projects mainly infrastructural both in Nyamira and Kisii counties.
But it is launching of a dormitory at Nyambaria High School on Tuesday that seems to have angered the former Education Minister.
“We expect the president to launch mega projects other than commissioning roads that had been launched by his predecessors,” said Ongeri in his Twitter outburst on Kenyatta’s tour to Kisii.
The Kisii County senatorial aspirant added: “It pains when he comes to open a dormitory built using contributions by parents. He should have tackled Coffee and Tea sector menace as he does in central.”
Ongeri defected from Jubilee party and was received by ODM leader Raila Odinga in a ceremony held at Gusii stadium early this year.
And on a sad ending, chaos erupted after Uhuru’s tour with hundreds of ODM supporters chanting anti-Jubilee slogans in Kisii town on Wednesday.
