Photo: Philip Nyamai/ FacebookNyamira Governor John Nyagarama has welcomed former UN-Habitat ambassador Sam Ongeri to the Opposition.Ongeri, a former key ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta was officially received in ODM by party leader Raila Odinga in Kisii on Monday.“Welcome, welcome, welcome. Huyu mwenzetu tumemtafuta kwa muda mrefu na kwa nguvu sana (We’ve been seeking to get him to our camp for a long time and with vigour). He is a big catch,” said the county boss during the rally.Ongeri is set to contest for the Kisii County senatorial post in the forthcoming elections where he is expected to face off with former CIC chair Charles Nyachae of Jubilee among others.Also present during the event was Amani leader Musalia Mudavadi who is also touring the region to woo voters.Musalia said NASA was unstoppable, adding that unity is the way to go as they seek to oust the Jubileegovernment.He said it would be foolhardy for the opposition leaders to think they would win the presidency on their own hence the need for them to unite.The event was also attended by Kisii Governor James Ongwae.
