Nyaribabari Chache Member of parliament Richard Tong'i has attacked ambassador Sam Ongeri and said that he is a political failure and it’s high time he retires from active politics.
Speaking while meeting a number of delegates at his home on Thursday the MP said that they had in the past given him the best opportunity to deliver to the residents though he was not able and he had self-interest.
“He is my brother and elder and he should just respect the will of residents and ensure that he retires from politics or else he will be ashamed come 2017,” he added.
The legislator, however, said that Ongeri is being pushed to vie for the senatorial seat of which he is sure he won’t make it and asked him to remain in Jubilee and remain an ambassador to the United Nations.
This comes barely after Ongeri declared his support for Ongwae and he has shown interest to run for the Kisii county senatorial seat which is been keenly eyed by former CIC chairman Charles Nyachae who is also a close confidant to the MP.
