Kisii County senator Sam Ongeri has said that it is too early to start campaigns of taking over from Governor James Ongwae.

According to him, it was to early to start parading leaders who were eyeing to take over from Governor Ongwae who is currently serving his second term in office. 

"It is time we leaders who were elected to deliver services for Kenyans. Issues of 2022 will be discussed later that year," said Ongeri. 

The senator asked Governor Ongwae to be strong and ignore a few political leaders whosd aim was spreading propaganda and hatred against his leadership. 

"Governor Ongwae should now concentrate in ensuring that he fulfills promises that he made in the last campaigns and not answering leaders aimed at tainting his name," he said. 

Mr Ongeri called upon all Kisii County ward represetatives to work hand in hand with the governor for the benefit of the people.

He was speaking in Masimba area on Sunday during a fundraiser.
