Kisii Members of County Assembly have been applauded for their effort and unity they have shown during the burial arrangements of their colleague who died three weeks ago.
Addressing the mourners on Thursday outside Kisii County headquarters upon the arrival of the body of the late Peter Nyaega Ongeri MCA, Nyacheki ward, Senator Chris Obure hailed the MCAs for the effort and unity they have shown during the period of funeral arrangements which has been successful.
“I would like to thank all Members of county assembly for their good work since they lost one of them, let them continue with the same spirit so that we can transform our county,” Obure said.
Obure also termed the late Nyaega a hard working Member of county assembly who used to participate in representing Nyacheki residents and Kisii county at large.
“Losing one of the MCAs is a big blow but we hope that God will strengthen us," he added.
The Members of county assembly on Thursday arrived from Nakuru where the late had been for more three weeks as they proceeded to his home at Nyacheki.
Those Present were Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi and Kisii county assembly Speaker Kerosi Ondieki who also sent their condolences to the family and relatives.
The MCA passed away on 25th July while receiving medication at a hospital in Nakuru.
