Kisii Senator Sam Ongeri has joined other leaders in criticising Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i's attitude towards the rule of law.
Even after being convicted of contempt of court, Matiang'i insists that he will only focus on executing his duty as minister.
"I have been summoned several times and I think if I listened, then I will not be working at all,' he said.
But on Saturday, Ongeri said continued total disregard on the rule of law could create a bad precedence in the country.
Without specifically mentioning Matiang'i's name, Ongeri said, those who disrespect the law are bound to hell.
"God articulates that no matter who we are, we respect the rule of law. He who does not do so, is without a doubt hell bound," he said.
Last week, Matiang'i was attacked by a section of the country's leadership over the predicaments surrounding lawyer Miguna Miguna, who remains condemned in Dubai.
