The government is battling claims of serious human rights violation with deportation of lawyer Miguna Miguna escalating the record.

"When you retire, God will only judge you on the respect to the rule of law. Those who do badly, will perish as the Bible states," said the Kisii senator.

He added: "A government that respects the law proper. If you subject people to injustices, the likelihood that even God will be unhappy is quite high."

On Friday, Nyamira governor John Nyagarama, also warned Uhuru against violation of human rights.

According to the county boss, Uhuru has authority to restrain his juniors from applying excessive powers in handling minor issues.

"The president should take responsibility and deal with those disrespecting the rule of law. This trend on Mguna Miguna is totally unacceptable," he said.
