Nyaribari Chache Member of Parliament Richard Tong'i has slammed Sam Ongeri’s support for Ongwae and said it has no significant impact on Kisii politics.
According to the MP despite the fact that Ongeri has agreed to support Ongwae they will lose terribly come 2017 and current Kisii senator Chris Obure will become the governor.
Speaking on Monday at Biasimba area the MP said that they will intensify their campaigns to popularise Obure and let the residents know why they need to vote for him as he has the best vision for them.
“We have known Ongeri for a while and he has done nothing to the residents of Gusii region and now he is saying they will bring development to Kisii county of which am sure is a lie,” he added.
The MP called upon the residents to vet the leaders wisely before they vote them in or they will regret until 2022 when the elected fail to deliver.
This comes barely a few days after Prof Ongeri declared his support for Ongwae openly and he is likely to launch is senatorial bid.
