Kegogi Ward representative Kepha Sagini said that traders are forced to close their business premises early due yo lack of proper lighting in the market.

Mr Sagini said that Kegogi residents depend on business and the lights will be of great benefit to them.

"Despite the fact that Kegogi is a small town the lighting will be of great help to locals. I therefore request Governor Ongwae to do something about it," he said.

He said it will also address insecurity in the area.

He urged traders to cooperate with police to flush out criminals giving locals sleepless nights.

"The traders should ensure that anyone giving them sleepless nights is arrested by giving information," he said.

This comes just weeks after traders in the town complained that some people were making away with their goods.
