According to the county boss, it is hard to identify the problem of various areas in the county without the help of other leaders including the members of parliament.

“All members of parliament in the county should lead as an example as we all want to unite locals and develop the county to another level,” he added.

The governor said it’s not time to express supremacy on who matters in the county as that will undermine devolution which is why they are playing hard to ensure it benefits the locals.

Ongwae challenged all members of parliament from Gusii region to support the initiative being put in place by county governments and desist from engaging in supremacy battles.

“Nyamira and Kisii are more of one thing and the only way we can help each other is ensuring we hold hands and spearhead development projects that will benefit all of us,” he added.

Speaking on Tuesday during a fundraiser at Suneka Primary School in Kisii South Sub County, Ongwae said said instead of fighting, leaders from the county should cooperate and create a conducive environment for development.
