Speaking on Monday during a security meeting at Sameta Lodge the county chief said criminals were now sophisticated and needed immediate actions like technology to curb insecurity in the county.

The Ongwae said that he was working mutually and closely with the county commissioner to ensure residents enjoy peace and go on with their development activities.

The governor condemned the recent attacks that have been reported by the chiefs across the county and called upon the county commissioner to take actions over the victims involved in harassing the local administrators.

“We all want to be in a peaceful county, therefore, we should all ensure that we play as a team to ensure that security is tight,” said Ongwae.

The county boss urged the police officers to be tough on criminals and not to protect anyone who was there to harm members of the public.

He called upon the police officers to apprehend and prosecute the individuals in court without applying double standards.
