Kisii Governor James Ongwae says he is confident of a landslide victory for ODM team on August elections in the region.

The ODM governor is facing stiff resistance from Jubilee’s Chris Obure, Manson Nyamweya of KNC and Lumumba Nyaberi of Wiper.

But on Tuesday Ongwae said the team is keen to deliver elective seats for the Orange Democratic Party in August polls.

“There is nothing to fear and I am confident that we shall win a number of elective seats. It is a matter of time and we shall showcase the party’s influence,” he said during a Press Conference.

“We may be having our internal challenges but we shall prevail upon them,” added Ongwae, who has been appointed as NASA’s campaign coordinator in the region.

Also flying ODM flag are Sam Ongeri (Senator) and Janet Ong’era (Women Representative) with Joash Maangi expected to deputize Ongwae.

Last week, NASA leadership held a mammoth rally at Gusii stadium in at which they declared Gusii region an ODM zone.
