Kisii Governor James Ongwae has dared police against harassing peaceful NASA demonstrators in the region, adding that the constitution gives provision for picketing.

Speaking at his office on Monday morning the governor said that he is well informed that there are some of the demonstrators who have already hit the road to call for reforms and he wanted the police to ensure that they remain friendly to avoid any commotion that may lead to lose of life and properties.

“They have already started from the Daraja Moja and  Nyanchwa sides and we expect them to hold peaceful demonstrations that aint interrupted by the anti-riot police” said Ongwae

The governor however added that he will join the groups at various points to ensure that NASA leader’s  calls are taken in seriously as IEBC must make the necessary changes.

The demonstrators in Kisii however currently is at peace at the supporters have called upon Chiloba to bow the pressure and resign in good faith.
