Chief officer for roads and transport in Kisii county has said that Governor Ongwae has done enough to improve roads in the county.
He said that those claiming that Ongwae has failed to construct and repair roads are political enemies.
Speaking at Minto Fm on Thursday, Samuel Ongoncho, the county's chief officer expressed his happiness with Ongwae's government for improving the state of roads greatly.
"For the few years in office Ongwae has done a lot to ensure good roads in the county. Since I took office as the chief officer for roads and transport, I have been working closely with the governor's office. Governor Ongwae ensured that the money allocations to roads are enough compared to the projects," he stated.
He added that the remaining roads in the county will be worked on before 2017 elections since money was allocated in the 2016/2017 budget.
"Very few roads to be worked on and before 2017 the roads will be fully completed. Information doing rounds accusing Governor Ongwae are false and such people should be condemned," he added.
He argued that Ongwae compared with other governors has prioritised roads to make transport easy for locals.
