After four years in office, it is now that the Kisii Members of county assembly have come to realise that there is a misuse of funds within the county.
This came out when a section of MCAs strongly accused Governor James Ongwae by saying that he has failed them.
Led by Deputy Speaker Evans Mokoro they said the county Governor has failed to complete development projects even if after they budgeted them.
Mokoro said that residents have been accusing the MCAs without knowing that it Ongwae who has failed them since they did their part of allocating funds to projects which have never completed.
“There is something wrong in our county, things are not working well, and as the MCAs we have done our part, in all financial years as the member of Kisii county assembly we have been allocating funds but nothing us been done,” said Mokoro.
Bokimonge ward member of county assembly George Bibao also encored Mokoro's sentiments by saying that there are many uncompleted projects across the country.
“We call upon the residents to know that the MCAs have done their part but only being failed by the county boss,” he said.
They were speaking at Nyataro on Sunday during the fund drive in aid of the constructing classrooms.
